Cleveland firefighter gave notice of move to California, but officials overlook it
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason is reviewing an investigation into a Cleveland police officer’s July 4 fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in Parma. The prosecutor’s office received the results of the investigation last month, after Parma police finished their inquiry into the incident that ended with Patrolman Matthew Craska shooting Daniel Joseph Ficker in the chest outside his home. Parma Police Capt. Robert DeSimone declined to answer any questions Tuesday about the findings or provide details about what happened that night.
